Almost all consumer grade products have PFAs or something close to it. There are a lot of seltzers you can drink still if you are worried about PFAS. San Pelligrino, La Croix, Perrier, Spindrift, etc (minimal to no PFAs).
They way I see it though - don't let the alarmism of something like PFAs render you paralyzed otherwise you may die from a stress related heart attack before the PFAs get you.

Those oil paints are delectable.

I appreciate that perspective. They aren't bad habits, they are different habits... and they work better in certain scenarios too. Convert those mannerisms to superpowers I say.

Yep, that's where I get mine from. The big cardboard box of them. Love them in glass too.

That's fair - I'm sure it tastes amazing when mixed just right. My lazy ass wants to flavor injected automatically though. Separate flavor injector and tube and then mixing step, something like that.

Any chance you are Italian? I have a theory that this flavor hits a specific demographic.

I've tried a lot and I still think San Pellegrino is a winner. The bit of mineralization and how bubbly it is ... is perfect IMO. I used to drink the full 1L by myself in one go.

Raspberry Lime is definitely one of the top flavors. Good choice! I always recommend Black Cherry, Mixer Berry, and Ginger Lime Mule to folks. And if you like citrus Mandarin is hard to beat. Let us know what else you try out!

I used to live in North Shore area too but I was close enough to a Wegman's and a CostCo that I only went to the Market Basket occassionally.
Per the sodastream, are the flavors any good compared to Polar, Liquid Death, Waterloo, La Croix? That's what has given me pause on the idea.
The Mango Chainsaw is better BUT I still really like the lime. It reminds me of a mojito - I love mojitos. - Flavor Taste **7.5** - Flavor Intensity **5** - Carbonation **Low, Subtle Notes of… lime, the agave, and I swear I can taste of hint of mint but I think my brain is playing tricks on me. In the end it's like a light flavoring of virgin mojito. Definitely getting this one again.

Well I'm impressed! I've been to a lot of Market Baskets in my life and I don't think I would have remembered that's where the photo was from.

Oh definitely, I still love watching it, especially American Dad. But you can also tell when the jokes are glaringly not the original writers / Seth MacFarlane style. Great background show right next to Futurama.
The_Sourcerer 1 year ago • 100%
I haven't tried the Coconut yet. Might have to pick that up this weekend.
I don't trust any of the writers of the newer Family Guy / American Dad episodes... too many youngin's with their opinions projecting into the script and not as much clever wit. They are probably writing those jokes while drinking La Croix anyway.
I can't believe I didn't know about these flavors before. The Mango Chainsaw is pretty amazing, however, this seltzer has some sugars in it. This brings about the question: at what point can you call a drink a seltzer and at what point does it become a juice / soda type drink? A debate for another day maybe. - Flavor Taste **8** - Flavor Intensity **5** - Carbonation **Low, Subtle** - Notes of... it's slightly tangy, definitely tropical, kind of has a pineapple/mango almost hint of bubble gum flavor to it (reminds me a tad of Red Bull). Definitely will buy again and will be bringing this to group gatherings where people want you to look like the rest of the cool hipster beer drinkers.

It's absolutely the right kind of niche that the market needs. Something fully "badass" looking that fits in with the drinking crowds and is not actually alcohol. That's partially the purpose/reason of the community too - can't go wrong being "addicted" to something that's not detrimental to your health (don't ask me about what carbonation does to your teeth though 😆).

I prefer the Orange Vanilla flavor over the LimonCello. I think I like that one better because it has a Creamsicle flavor that I liked from ice cream truck ice cream days. But yeah you can only drink so much of these "creamy" flavors before it becomes too much.

I always thought Liquid Death was JUST glorified water marketing. But I recently found out they had flavors and I can't believe I haven't tried one yet.
I'll put these at the top of my list.
It tastes like lemon pie. I don't like drinking pies. Who thought this one was a good idea? - Flavor Taste **3** - Flavor Intensity **8** - Notes of… key LEMON pie? Bizarre. I'm sure there are people who like these flavors - not for me.
Seriously, what should I buy in bulk and try? I have an indecision complex. P.S. get ready for me to trash your selections in reviews.

I don't mind the USB flashlights since I am always carrying around a back-up power bank with swappable USB cables in both my car and my bag.
I'll have to check out the silicon diffusor I never thought of using one on any flashlight.. I'm sure there are some that work on any flashlight (sized to fit or not).

Yeah I definitely think it could work if it's done the right way There are some much needed functionalities that Lemmy has yet to offer that will make it easier to stand up instances like this (easier customization, better cross-posting, better admin/mod tools, and clearer documentation). But the idea is great and it could work with some patience and hard work across various different players in the lemmy game.

How does one flavor the seltzer? How do you make homemade La Croix and Polar? Those are the ultimate questions.
One of my favorite bangers. Big fan of Telekinesis.
This is an attempt to figure out what caused it. It is also an example of how it's pretty difficult to figure out what actually causes a migraine from day to day. Slept from 12 to 9:30AM. Breakfast was French Toast and Eggs. Skipped Coffee. Went swimming out in the sun for about an hour (had sunscreen on). First started feeling a headache and getting dizzy and progressed into a migraine - 11:30AM. Had pizza and root beer for lunch. Took a midday nap for about an hour at 12:30PM. Woke up with throbbing migraine. Took Aleve. Drank 1000ml of water (not that that helps really). Drank a cup of coffee. Migraine went away at about 2PM. If I take Aleve quickly enough I can usually stop a migraine within an hour or two. If I take it too late then the Aleve does nothing and the migraine can sometimes last until the next day. Why does this timeline matter? It matters because it's an example of how anything could have caused the migraine especially when there are so many confounding factors at play. 1) Woke up later than usual. 2) Didn't drink my normal coffee in the morning, withdrawal/craving? 3) Out in the sun too long? 4) I had sunscreen on, sensitivity to the sunscreen chemicals? 5) Didn't eat enough for breakfast + craving more substantial food, needing to eat lunch earlier? 6) Something else entirely not listed here? Sometimes you just can't figure it out - you just gotta take the meds quickly and move on.

Yeah I don't know if I could handle the crash and other side-effects. I already have so many other health things I am trying to manage and understand I feel like this would be another wrench thrown into the proverbial machine.
I did get a chance to meet with the therapist and she immediately was like "you have ADHD". All it took was mentioning my unending fidgeting and constant need to rush things and she already knew where it was going. I wonder if a therapist has the ability to administer any tests even if they aren't for the purpose of medication - more as a clinical confirmation of diagnosis I guess?
Thanks for your ADHD story btw!
I drank 4 of these today. They hit the spot. But they are nowhere near as good as Polar's Ginger Lime Mule flavor. - Flavor Taste **8.5** - Flavor Intensity **6** - Notes of… **lime.** Are you surprised? I will keep posting pictures of random seltzer I drink even if it drives everyone out of this community. 😆

Where the heck did you find Ginger La Croix - I want it. One of my favorite seltzers is Polar Ginger Lime Mule, legit.

My favorite La Croix flavor at the moment. Enjoying one while setting up some Lemmy communities. - Flavor Taste **9.5** - Flavor Intensity **6** - Notes of... fucking Pamplemousse, basically Grapefruit. This isn't wine tasting.
Got into this band after finding their track on Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2. Their Headspace album has some amazing songs.

I think from a business perspective a third-party app is still competition only in the sense that they are pulling away "numbers" from their own app, views, analytics, marketers. Even if they aren't direct competition it's something that they are competing against in a different sense. But your point is still correct - these apps are participating and aiding in a beneficial way even if it can't be quantified by their financial / marketing / product departments.

The best increase in productivity for me has not been communities I have followed but instead communities that I explicitly do not follow even if I know I will enjoy them. I used to subscribe to topics on Reddit such as WhatCouldGoWrong, AmItheAsshole, and RelationshipAdvice but they can be time sinks - so I am distinctly avoiding those types of communities this time around.

It gives me a headache just looking at this chart. If it's close to true then that means I typically get migraines, cluster headaches, and sinus headaches depending on many environmental factors changing.

Why YSK: With minimal friction to your purchasing process you can find hidden discounts (sometimes big ones!) for items online or through app purchases. Especially for larger items you are purchasing online. After going through the entire process of purchasing an item and then stopping just before the "Complete/Place Order" button sometimes will trigger marketing to reach out with bigger discounts. Same goes for some app subscriptions. If you plan on upgrading an app, while inside the app, sometimes dismissing the first price or offer will trigger a better discounted offer.
What should I say or not say to the therapist for the first time? Should I come out and say I think I have ADHD or should I avoid my own self-diagnosis and ask them to evaluate my habits on their own? Anything I should say or not say in a first chat? Anything that may be a red flag or green flag with a new therapist?
