He’s all good! Just had a hot spot on his neck and needs to cool it on the itching. Had a bath with his medicated shampoo and needs to be careful for a few days and he’ll be good.

Also an introvert; switching to working remotely vastly improved my social life (and productivity at work). When I was going to the office, I was burning all my social energy during the day and defaulted to hermit mode on nights and weekends to recharge.
Now I’m sitting on my social charger all day while I’m working and actually have the energy to hang out with my friends outside of work hours.

Maybe whatever app you’re using isn’t really deleting comments? It’s still showing up fine for me and gaining votes.

I switched to iOS a few years back because I tried it for a week when my Pixel died, maintained a pros/cons list, and decided iOS works better for me.
The most eye-opening part switching “sides” is how cringe these types of Android users are. Just use what works for you and enjoy life.

It’s a reference to the unnecessary apostrophe. The quote was something like “an apostrophe is used to create possessive nouns, it doesn’t mean ‘here comes an s!’”

I’ve tried to get my friends consolidated in one app in the past, but have given up. I prefer Discord, but use a combo of that and Slack, Signal, GroupMe, IG, FB Messenger, SMS, email, and probably some others I’m forgetting about. Discord is the only one I directly open, the others I’ll just rely on notifications.

I just read a super interesting book about this–Monsters by Claire Dederer. It won’t really give you answers, but a thought-provoking discussion on this subject I also struggle with.

Yeah I could probably get by without my physical credit/debit cards, but gotta at least have a thin wallet with a little cash for small businesses/food trucks that prefer it, my ID, and transit card.

This is the primary reason I switched to iPhone. At least Apple’s business model is rooted in selling me overpriced gadgets rather than selling me.

It’s kind of confusing at first, but the first two books in the 3-book Silo series were originally released as short stories that were eventually combined into “omnibus” editions. So if you want to read the trilogy (which you should, they’re great) you want to read Wool omnibus, Shift omnibus, and Dust. If each book you’re looking at is ~500 pages, you’ve got the right one.

Anecdotally, the Seattle Public Library is currently recovering from a ransomware attack and still has major systems offline. Of all targets, a public library is a pretty major low.
