Berets with bows are fucking adorable and I love them and aaaaaaaaaa. Like look at this, I love it.

Also you can be a weirdo like me and tie bows that you then attach to other things to wear. It can be fun!

I highly recommend the game night idea. Gaming with friends is usually a fun thing and it can help put a lot of the stress away while you do it. I also recommend going to gaming stores or stores for some other hobby that you like (provided they don't have bigoted staff). These sorts of stores are usually a comfort place if you go often so they can really help you ease in the first few times. That's how I first wore a skirt in public.

That's okay! Just one piece at a time and eventually you can add a splash of this style into all of your outfits. Right now I kind of rely on my beret for my bows, since it can work with most of my outfits, and that adds a little bit of me into the outfit while still not being the focus. Just try to have fun with it, you'll find things that work and you like pretty quick.

Oh not Monster Hunter the series I just meant like vampire/monster hunter aesthetics like Bloodborne's MC.

Lingxi, the same brand that made this dress, is really good at getting that style right. Like check this one, Blood Hunt. I'm not that into the angel wings that their model is rocking since I think this dress deserves a more grounded coord, but tbh it's still sick. Luv me a good angel wing.

Honestly it just came with time. It's hard to worry as much about it when you wear a princessy dress to a party and the only comments you get are positive, or when you wear cute bows basically every day in non-lolita outfits and get the same reaction. In the case of this sort of gothic, wearing a corset over all black would be an equivalent, or wearing a fancy skirt with an otherwise simple outfit. Etc... Etc...

It would depend on your exact measurements I'm pretty sure. I can't really be sure of the exacts though since I haven't worn anything with this style of top yet, but I know the bottom half would just work since all the shaping there comes from the overskirt and petticoat. So it's really all just about how the shoulder, chest, and waist are shaped. I'm inclined to assume that if you added a lace bodysuit to distract you might be able to pull it off without much breasts.

There are lots of gothics out there that don't show off as much skin and should be doable for basically any body type though, there's this one I've been considering making a post on which is this really cute gothic winter jacket but I've been putting it off since the model photos are less visually interesting on it. There's another one that I really love and would be easy to pull off but I'm avoiding posting it because I genuinely want one for myself and it's pretty low leftover stock rn. I'll try to cover a few more gothics when I see some I like.

Ngl I basically wear lolita to every formal event and the only reason I haven't worn it at school yet is because I don't have any JSKs or skirts yet. As soon as I get some I am having a lolita day at least once a week. I have killed the part of my brain that goes 'but what if someone judges me' in favour of fancy dresses. Albeit more casual ones than a lot of the ones I post.

Also just wearing a lolita at home is nice I do it all the time when I'm having a rough week to feel better

    And you're welcome πŸ’

So so far I've covered a few different styles of lolita dresses. I started with a sweet, then did a classic, but I haven't done a gothic yet, let's change that. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/f5ae70b3-60ed-4abc-a234-cd61ed44c118.jpeg) This issue's dress is Lingxi's *Nightmare Lilith*. It's a rose-themed gothic, as made obvious by its incredible collar. Seriously if I could get just the collar I would. It's perfect for basically any gothic rose coord. The thorns add so much to the rose which is a pretty common motif. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/0ec6a217-b50e-4886-8e08-9f115fce66e1.jpeg) The collar isn't the only rose themed part of this dress though. The skirt has an printed rose motif. It's in almost the same black as the dress itself, so it's relatively subtle, but it adds a lot. Especially thanks to the pop of red behind it which adds some colour into the otherwise pure black dress. (Which, speaking personally, is very important for any gothic lolita in my eyes. Pure black can look good but I much prefer gothics that use dark reds, purples, and navys in their scheme since they add some visual interest. White too but white is tricky and not every dress pulls it off. But ultimately I'm not a gothic I'm a classic, colour is just part of my aesthetic in a way it isn't for a gothic.) ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/41de77fd-cad5-4bfc-9e30-f7f5b41fe385.jpeg) The dress has two sleeve variants, regular sleeves and bell sleeves. They're both lovely, I'm honestly not sure if I prefer one or the other. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/a44be24b-fbc4-4b81-b5dc-1509b1c7d29d.jpeg) Of the three model coords, I like this one the most for its use of prayer beads. It unfortunately gives up the witch hat that's part of the set (which I love, witch coords are so cool and I want one), but the new headpiece is beautiful and I adore how the spikes on it accent the rose collar's thorns. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/2ebdac42-f6e9-46fe-b398-8ce7ab59b7dd.jpeg) So that's the dress! I didn't really have as much to say this time, like I said I'm a classic not a gothic. I just really loved this one's collar and rose theme. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/bcaa6b75-f764-48d1-af64-c6486c20894d.jpeg)

Look being as frank as I can be you have a ton to learn in regards to being empathetic with people and helpful but outside of those contexts you're a decent listener and the few times you do talk about your interests it's nice. But really being a good listener is the most important thing for conversation, the rest can come later. And sometimes just listening is enough to help people empathically, there's a reason I just had a quick little vent in your DMs those few times

Depends on the style of skirt I'm wearing but usually I lift the skirt up as I sit down and then continue holding it up while on the toilet. It avoids the skirt getting dirty from the ground or any potential accidents involving it falling into the toilet water, and besides it's the only way you can do it while in a dress. If the skirt is short enough (IE knee length or shorter) then I do just pull down like pants though.

I'm #4 because idk it was funnier that way. Also I feel like I only recently became fashion nerdy so others who post less have seniority over me and thereby smaller numbers.

What I sometimes do is wearing women's shorts underneath a skirt with an open side, that way I can use the pockets of it for my multitool and keys... But then I get annoyed at it ruining my fit when they're in so I throw them into my bag anyways.

I just haven't found one I like enough yet tbh.

cross-posted from: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/5430764 Hello and welcome to the fourth of my silly little rambles that people apparently like to read, only this time it's a post! I spoke with a few people over on trachat and the consensus seemed to be that making this a full post would be better, so from now on I'll be posting them here and crossposting to traa. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/7a6079a6-d9b5-41e6-b76f-5354566cccd4.jpeg) Jumping right into it, today's dress is Long Ears and Sharp Ears' *Morning Glory*. Unlike the other dresses I've covered so far, this one is available as both a OP and a JSK with blouse. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/7b9cd2cb-3185-4cd9-a89f-3e996515cde1.jpeg) As you can see the JSK is a lot girlier and cutesier, while the OP has a nicer more mature and elegant look. Of the two I'm drawn more towards the white versions OP, but both are really lovely! I think however that the coloured versions of the dress work better as the JSK, particularly this purple version. I'm just personally drawn towards pretty white clothing in general. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/1df554a8-a124-43c2-96ce-77dec6114377.jpeg) I was mainly drawn to this one by the chiffon and tulle fabric, in particular the metallic tulle hexagon pattern that covers the entire dress is really beautiful and adds a nice shine without being overwhelming. The white versions of the dress show it off particularly well I think. It makes the entire dress glow in the sunlight, hence the name, and it is utterly gorgeous when it does. ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/707212ea-4aea-48ab-9eb6-6343b747574b.jpeg) As has become a theme, I'm also in love with the smaller details too. In particular this collar is gorgeous and I adore all the little bows on the JSK version. The mix of purple, blue, and green that you can see here is really difficult to get right but I think it works quite well here! ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/5659e85d-0406-4931-b8b3-ef3040d41c99.jpeg) I honestly don't have much else to say about this dress really, it's a bit simple but I think quite effective and I really like it. I already quite liked LnSEars as a brand for their more elaborate fairy-themed pieces, but this one has shown me that they can do a decent variety of looks and it makes me want to get one of their pieces again. LnSEars are also a good brand for taller women, since you can custom order their dresses to match your sizes for only a slight price increase. ($10 extra for a skirt length increase, $15 for a full resizing) ![](https://lemmygrad.ml/pictrs/image/4c3fe546-a609-4401-bce1-d7046d6959f9.jpeg)
