A former president just barely got over 50% in the first-in-the-nation Iowa Caucuses and we're describing his victory as "dominant" and a sign of strength instead of a historically weak showing from someone who's already had the job. The media continues to not know how to talk about him.

Thanks Ernest, please do get that app going if you can! :)
I was using Kbin on Artemis without any login, and was pretty much fine to just lurk, but having no app at all is a real bummer. I’ll check out Lunar in the meantime but I’m itching to contribute more to Kbin as a logged in user.

No Kbin support in that one, apparently. And no way to browse while not logged in.

It’s a bummer because I would definitely pay for a working Artemis app with kbin login. They were so close. I’d have paid at least the Pro cost of Apollo for it.

It’s just an easy joke people make on the internet.
I've enjoyed using Artemis even though I can't login through it (I'm on kbin). It's been interesting to be a pure lurker instead of an avid commenter like I was on the former site. In the past couple of days, though, Artemis has failed to fetch any new content. Deleting the iOS app and reinstalling through Testflight does nothing; the 1-2 day old posts pop right back up and nothing new will come in. At this point the question has to be asked: is work on Artemis still proceeding? Aside from a few drips and drabs Hariette hasn't been heard from in at least a month. I really hope the dream of an Apollo-like fediverse app -- which Artemis was already previewing very well for us -- isn't dead.

Is that what it depends on? An earlier version of the Artemis app said that additional instance logins were coming in version 0.2.1 I believe, and it’s currently on 0.2.0. It also worked when I first started using Artemis before an update took it away.
It doesn’t seem like it’s dependent on API development.
I’m loving Artemis but starting to realize that I’m suffering for not being able to post comments or replies after a month or so of using the app. Is there any sense of when support for more instances is coming?

It is an absurd statement to argue that the average cyclist on the average bike can sprint to over 30mph "without much trouble." Maybe with a tailwind going downhill, and even that is, ahem, dangerous.

PhRMA, AKA the industry lobby that runs those ads in the NYT showing smiling patients and talking about how wonderful the world's pharmaceutical companies are, while fighting tooth-and-nail against Medicare price negotiations that would benefit seniors and the most vulnerable populations. This is one of those associations where if they're for something, you should be against it, and vice versa.

Incredibly sad to see Alice Cooper using rote, boring anti-trans talking points, especially the old canard of 'any man can walk into a woman's restroom by saying he feels like a woman today,' which is something I've seen online more times than I can count and even heard in person from a few folks almost word-for-word. Don't be a parrot, Vincent.

Yeah, all the cheerleading for Manchin to get out is unbelievably shortsighted. As soon as people get their wish, we lose control of the Senate and Mitch "30 second pause" McConnell runs it again. That's what people want?

Room where? In West Virginia?
Whether he retires, switches to the Republican Party, dies, or serves until 2050 as a Democrat, Joe Manchin is the last Democratic senator from West Virginia for the rest of our lifetimes.

The relationship has been dwindling for a while. I’m pretty sure she had an affair with her old assistant, Hunter. Last night we threw a dinner party for our coworkers and we basically fought the whole time. It ended in her throwing a Dundee at my tv. We broke up after this. AITA?

It was another attempt to get the tech press to run another story about Twitter and/or its leader, and it worked.
I'm confused by my reputation point count (-36). I've skimmed over my comments and my posts to see how they've done, and there's no way they've gotten more downskids than upnoodles in aggregate. What gives? Is that number not what I think it is?
