Hey all, I just watched a cool family movie from the DPRK, and I had to share it here because nobody else cared haha. Personally, it was an incredible experience. First, just by itself it's a cool and wholesome film about a badass female comrade in the DPRK. Second, it was refreshing to peer into the (albeit scripted) lives of the people. And third, it helped deconstruct my subconscious liberal assumptions about them. Despite a vastly different culture (e.g. trusting and generous to strangers, coequal friendly workplace management), the movie was accessible and engaging. No more spoilers, because I genuinely encourage you to watch it (link in the post title). Have any of you seen DPRK productions before?

And honestly, the single best resource for this topic is a Netflix documentary I saw recently. I encourage you all to watch Cowspiracy. I never watch videos people link on here, but please give it a shot. In my own words, I'll briefly introduce it: chronicles the story of a devout environmentalist in the USA who was stunned when he learned - like you just have - that animal agriculture was the greatest global contributor to pollution. But this guy is a hardcore treehugger, and is like 30. How the hell did he just learn this? He is a member of "green" groups, but eating animals is *never* talked about. This dirty secret, i.e. that animal agriculture is never discussed in green advocacy groups, is the "cowspiracy" behind their controlled opposition to environmental destruction. They ask you to drive a hybrid and recycle your plastic straws, but never question the business that is literally slashing and burning the fucking amazon rainforest. If you do not have Netflix, I can let you "borrow" a copy ;)

So my understanding is that most/all online games will try to authenticate and therefore won't allow you to access online content, right? I saw one torrent host advise blocking program from getting online or communicating thru steam. I've wanted to snag Overwatch e.g. but was worried about this. Hey, I'm new here so maybe I'm just unaware of an existing feature, but currently, when I see somebody has replied to a comment or a post in my notifications tab, I am unable to see the content to which they are responding. Instead, I just get "lorem epsum" from "whoever" at "time and date." I have to go through my recent history to try and find the context. I put context in quotation marks in the title because that feature is called context on Reddit. Is there any way to add this? It'd be especially helpful for anybody who is active in more than one place on this site.
