Couches across the country living in fear right now.
Crock pot meal served on rice
Homemade ramen, beef short rib, pork belly, soft boil egg, noodles, seasoned broth. I added chili oil to my bowl. Sriracha was also an option.
Korean BBQ short rib, pork belly, pickled veggies, rice, with a gochujang mayo
A chocolate cream using ice cream and pudding topple with whipped cream.
Chicken Piccata, on a tomato cream angel hair pasta
Egg white, jalapeno, and bacon on toasted ciabatta. The wheel of heat was not kind with this jalapeno. Man that one was spicy.
Apple dumpling with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
A summer tradition is to bake Christmas cookies with one of our nieces before going on vacation. Cream cheese cutout cookies with almond bark frosting.
Mixed fruit yogurt parfait. Strawberry, blueberry, cherry compote, greek yogurt, crushed up milano cookies
Mixed fruit pancakes, strawberries, blueberries, cherries. Oven cooked bacon
Grilled stuffed peppers. Italian sausage, onions, diced tomatoes, mozzarella, with a yogurt sauce
Fiance has a cold so it soup time. Lemon chicken orzo.
Chicken Po Boy. Cajun seasoned baked chicken, lettuce, tomato, remoulade sauce, on French bread
Romaine heart split in 2, tomato, croutons, bacon, parm, salsa ranch dressing. With a little fresh mixed fruit salad on the side, apple, strawberry, blueberries.
Quick breakfast tacos. Fried eggs, hash brown sticks, sausage, sauteed jalapenos
Felt like making a little taste of Texas at home. Next time a little egg wash on top to get them a nice golden brown. Recipe I had called for just a butter on top and that didn't do the trick. Over very happy with how these turned out.
Our Midwestern supper. Chicken meatloaf, cottage cheese, toasted brussel sprouts. I have to watch how much beef I eat but this definitely scratches that itch.

Yeah the description of women's bodies seems to be a pretty common early series complaint. I am glad it got to be more infrequent as the series went on. It's going to be a rough time waiting for the next one.

I did read Side Jobs after Changes so only 1 short story collection to go. I think I am going to give it a few months though before I read that. I want to hold onto my thoughts for how Battle Ground ended for some time.

Yeah to have this many books completed in the series spoiled me. Going to be hard to wait for the next book.
Wow after about a year and a half from Storm Front to Battle Ground I feel like I have been on a journey. The growth of the characters and expansion of the world really feels like we have come a long way. The loss of Murphy is going to hurt in the next few books as I am sure Harry will take a long time to get over that if he even can. I'm not sure what is next but I am hear for it.
Grilled natural casing hot dogs topped with KFC slaw. Homemade guac and tortilla chips, corn salsa and Frito scoops, little bowl of watermelon.
First attempt chili relleno tacos. Homemade salsa roja to top and chips and homemade salsa verde as the side

Make another small batch and don't add garlic. Dilute it out :)
Korean seasoned ground chicken, white rice, cucumber, radish, over medium egg, topped with some gochujang.
Bacon egg and cheese(American and Swiss cheese sauce) on toasted ciabatta.
Chorizo and potato tacos. Topped with onion, jalapenos, radish and a little hot sauce squeezed lime. Chips and salsa as the side.
Kind of a meal prep. Chicken meatballs with feta and spinach. Throw them in some sauce and noodles or heated up on a roll. Even just hot with a spicy ketchup for dipping.
Spam crisped up than sauteed with teriyaki sauce, sticky rice, raw jalapeno slices, gochujang seasoning. Next time I will use less rice but for a 1st attempt I'm happy with it.
Chorizo, roasted poblanos, jack cheese. Flour tortillas crisped up on each side for texture. Lettuce added after for a little freshness. Squeeze of lime and some hot sauce to taste
Used the recipe from Chili Pepper Madness. Turned out great. Store bought corn tortilla chips.
Beyond burger, pepper jack cheese, sauteed jalapenos, raw onion, mustard. Side of hash brown sticks.

This is a new dish to me. Looks great! Going to have to do some research on where I can get it locally to try it out.

100% agree. Always do a little evaluation after a meal on what can be improved and this is pretty much exactly what I told the better half I needed to do.

Thank you. I used 2 different recipes and kind of picked and chose to make it my own. Here are the links.

Love a Loco Moco. Looks great.
The dumplings didn't turn out as pretty as I like but for a first attempt I'm very happy. They just didn't want to release from the pan.

100% it is such a flavorful and fairly easy dish. Really checks all the boxes for me.

So I loosely followed a couple recipes and combined them. One had the meat and veggies simmer in vegetable stock until it was just about gone and than add a little corn starch slurry to thicken it up and than I added maybe a 1/4 cup of heavy cream.

Slaw goes on cold. At least that's how we always do it. Adds nice contrast.

They did get a touch more done than I was hoping but not burnt. Even the center of the yoke still had a little liquid to it.

It was perfect. Nice and crispy snap. Did a vid on scratching the sugar but it didn't save.

I hope he continues to grow as a goalie and we aren't stunting him having him play so much before he is ready.

I am thankful for the Oilers. If it wasn't for them the Canes might be considered the biggest drop off from pre season hype.

So every year they do have a Whalers night with throwback jerseys. On those nights they do Brass Bonanza as the goal song.

Canes. Originally from Wisconsin and without a hockey team the sport never appealed to us. Moved to Raleigh when the team was mediocre so tickets were cheap. Got season tickets and made friends based on the sport and team.

I'm still early in the series, The Light Fantastic to be exact. But wow do I love this series. Whenever I want a nice light read to laugh with I pick it up and read a couple chapters.
