Dominant psg performance but Girona’s doing well to put pressure and make shooting harder, hence why (coupled with a bit of luck) PSG hasn’t scored as of now
I got a COVID infection a while ago that permanently disabled me pretty bad. Bedridden, unable to move much, etc. The thing that really helped me was relaxing and listening to music. That’s what I spent my days doing as I couldn’t do much else. I became a real music nerd and just loved the bliss of hearing music. A little later (two years). I got another COVID infection — I was taking very strong precautions, and couldn’t see anyone. It turns out I got it from my doctor. Anyways, this infection caused some brain damage which has caused me to mostly loose the ability to hear. And now I’m still mostly motionless alone in bed, but I haven’t even got the comfort of sound or music. Just a mostly silent (tinnitus filled) world. I’m so scared of getting covid again. But mostly I miss the world and my old life. Being stuck alone in bed with only the internet for company sucks. People tend to be arseholes online. I can’t help but feel I got “natural selectioned”. Me and my wife were planning on having kids soon. Now I barely see her and I’m going to slowly die in a nursing home. There are specific genetic vulnerabilities to illnesses, and natural selection works with them (see what Europeans coming to America did). And I got fucked here. COVID was my end.

Sorry I didn’t mean to sound cocky. It sounds like a byproduct of slow federation. As I edited my comment almost immediately (before you replied) after posting it, to correct said number and provide a source, but it doesn’t look like it got to your end.
Also MAU stands for monthly active users and not total users. But I realise that acronym may not be widespread.

Wonderful comment. I’ve been thinking similarly for a while. Nice too see it put out there.

So bluesky has 5 million monthly active users while mastodon has 1 million?
Thats a fivefold difference.
FundMECFSResearch 2 days ago • 100%
True. So both have around 10 million total users. Bluesky has no monthly active user statistic. But around 1 million daily posters according to this https://bsky.jazco.dev/stats
While Mastodon has ~1 million monthly active users.
So sounds like bluesky’s got a lot more activity with that many daily posters, as of now, anyways.
FundMECFSResearch 2 days ago • 100%
Even if your numbers are true. Mastodon has existed for 7 years. Bluesky for less than one.
So logically the precentage of users to active users should be much higher on Bluesky.
Also number of accounts is possibly a bad metric to judge mastodon because of the federation.
For example, I have 8 mastodon accounts (tried a couple different instances and programmed a couple rss bots to give me a news feed).
FundMECFSResearch 2 days ago • 100%
I mean thanks to bridgy you can communicate across blusky and mastodon. For example people can follow my mastodon account on bluesky.
And bluesky has gained > 8 million users in the past couple months. Mastodon has 900 odd thousand MAU.
So clearly the majority have gone to one.

More likely twitter users.
And yes it’s corporate which is less good than mastodon.
But it is add-free, has a working algorithm, is feature rich, is open-source, lets you self-host etc. Full defederation is coming soon too.
Having used both bluesky (self hosted) and mastodon. The experience is simply far better on bluesky.
Unlike lemmy vs reddit. Where (except for active user count) there isn’t really a tradeoff. Lemmy is simply far better.

But to be fair if it goes
c4 qxb4
xd5
and white’s up a knight and just down a pawn plus queen is in danger so they have to move it
As far as my beginner eyes see that’s a decent +2 advantage for white
Alternatively if they take with knight, than white can threaten the queen and block the queens defens of the knight with c5
Oh but I do see a line where you are correct.
If it goes
c4 Nxb4 c5 Qe7 h4 Na6
though maybe the Knight ends up blocked in that position and potentially lost. I don’t have the vision too see that far.

Which gives white a good looking position. And cramps black. But should white avoid this kind of play for fear of black getting in behind their pawn lines?

Last season half the starters were injured. We were absolutely ravaged. Barely made it out of relegation. So I think (even though we already now have 3 injured forwards) were going to do a decent bit better this season. Also the fact we had easyish fixtures helps.
I mean Man City def has better quality, but Brentford managed to play well, and do good both in posession and XG, beating man city, which is impressive.

I mean it’s decent but unless you’re a fan of either team probably can find a funner game to watch. PSG’s played really well, just a mistake from Nuno and Beraldo gave off a questionable Pen.
PSG are definitely funner to watch this season, the post-galacticos team has a nice feel to it.

(This post is referring to tiktok, instagram reels, youtube shorts type content) So it’s no secret that for half a decade now we’ve had short form video content get increasingly popularised. To the point where your uncle probably watches them on some platform and so does your 6 year old. Now in terms of addictiveness, privacy falling through the roof, advertising down your throat, etc. we’ve reached new records. But that isn’t what this post is about. I never used this format much, except in 2020 during the pandemic, but I can’t help but notice when I do. Even if I make a brand new VPN’d account for it. Every 5-10th post or so wil be some kind of culture war propaganda. The kind of stuff that made me an edgy right wing bigot as a teenager because I got influenced by it on youtube. Luckily, I grew and changed. Unfortunately, many former friends, not so much. On a completely new account you’ll get bombarded with videos like: * “This is why women NEED real MEN” * “How to piss of a cyclist” * ”If a climate activist is blocking the road, you should be allowed to run over them” * ”When MEN were thrown a grenade, they reacted quickly, WOMEN got confused and scared. That’s why we NEED men in the army” * Wholesome looking video — homophobic caption: “This is why children need both a mum and a dad” These are all examples I got today when I decided to make completely new accounts on a new device with a VPN. I tried youtube shorts and tiktok for this and scrolled 20ish videos on each without liking anything. It scares me how much there is a strong rightward shift amongst the younger population. To the point where 18-24’s in recent german elections have voted the most for the borderline neo-nazi AFD party. I know these parties are by far the most active and very popular on tiktok. I know to some people these examples might seem anoying but trivial. But you are forgetting how impressionable children and teenagers are. There really is this thing called the alt-right pipeline. One very specific example which impacted me at a younger age, was you start with “mad karen” type videos, then after a couple you get recommended “mad SJW” videos, I think you see where I’m going with this, after a while you’re on “feminism debunked” and watching peterson/crowder/shapiro. I know many childhood friends who went down this pipeline and became insufferably racist bigot adults. I wonder what others think on this?
Is it recorded somewhere? I would be curious. I’m ofc aware chess engines are far from flawless. And humans have spent years analysing single sequences of 4 or 5 moves (openings) and written multiple volumes of novels. But I’m still curious.

If you see any that fit this pattern, pick a few (and a few off this list) and see if they're voting along the same lines. That, or someone, possibly even a ghost or an alien life form, really wants the impression of public opinion being on their side. Just because I don't know exactly *why* doesn't mean that something fishy isn't happening that other admins should be aware of. > > #### Who are the known culprits? > These are ones fitting that pattern which have been identified.
