Well, China is late stage communism. Not what communism was intended to be, but definitely a regression toward the mean. Capitalism is inevitable.

People want more value, and one way or another groups of people are going to unevenly accumulate value. Nobody has ever tried true communism because you can't even get to that step without something or someone ruining it for everyone. Think pigs whose faces turn into man's. That said, China is absolutely a threat.
