Intro to Lestat

[Lestat](https://lestat.org) is a status tracker for all popular Lemmy instances. It keeps track of uptime and provides automatic notifications when instances go down or recover. I like keeping across what is happening with other Lemmy instances so [lestat.org](https://lestat.org) was born out of this curiosity. URL: https://lestat.org It's similar to lemmy-status.org but with a few notable differences: - Lestat is running [Uptime Kuma](https://github.com/louislam/uptime-kuma) - Lestat monitors *all* instances listed on join-lemmy.org - Lestat has a public Discord server where it automatically feeds notifications: https://discord.gg/R8zY7fM5Z8 #### Criteria for adding instances to Lestat I will add any instance to Lestat based on these prerequisites: - The instance is listed on join-lemmy.org - The instance doesn't host anything illegal in New Zealand #### Keep track of your instance status with Lestat If you are an instance admin, Lestat can help you free of charge: - Automatic Discord and/or e-mail notifications when the status of your instance changes (e.g. it goes down or recovers). - An uptime badge for your instance in this style: ![](https://lestat.org/api/badge/1/uptime) Send me a message if you'd like any of the above. I hope you find Lestat useful!

All Lemmy instances using Cloudflare are now labelled in Lestat

https://lestat.org All Lemmy instances that use Cloudflare are now labelled in [Lestat](https://lestat.org): ![](https://lemdit.com/pictrs/image/154924c4-b67f-4793-8a99-3b9330453f4d.png) I've done this for a few reasons: - The uptime of instances that use Cloudflare can often be lower than what we are able to detect, especially if features like "Always Online" are used. - Cloudflare can be considered a "walled garden" that is inaccessible to some users. - More privacy-conscious users may want to avoid Cloudflare entirely. This list will help them easily identify those instances that use it. I have also added 10 additional instances to the list, bringing the total up to 151 instances monitored.
