"Reverse image search is unavailable. Please try again in a few hours".

I've tried multiple times, and I keep getting that message. Could someone explain why it's happening? Ironically, trying to google the answer got me nowhere.

Does using OAuth count for google to consider the account active?

Google has been notifying about its new policy about closing accounts it considers non active, after some period of "inactivity". I'm wondering if Thunderbird and K9 authentication through OAuth counts for Google to consider the account active... That, besides actively receiving/sending email through Thunderbird/K9. Does anyone know? Grettings !

EU suggests breaking up Google’s ad business in preliminary antitrust ruling www.theverge.com

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ml/post/1252683 > The European Commission has made a [formal antitrust complaint against Google and its ad business](https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_23_3207). In a preliminary opinion, the regulator says Google has abused its dominant position in the digital advertising market. It says that forcing Google to sell off parts of its business may be the only remedy, if the company is found guilty of the charges.

How data becomes money - the price we pay for keeping web content free www.irishexaminer.com

One of the endless criticisms in the endless debate on the rights and wrongs of present-day big tech and the quest for data accountability is the idea that users of such tech are effectively walking cash-generators for the corporate behemoths.
