Connect A Song
As expected, me, as a single mod, requires some help. I'll keep this post pinned and update it when needed. At the moment, what the community needs (except for more active users) is: 1. Another mod, even if there is not a lot of work to do, I'd still be happy if we can have redundancy. 2. Design for the community logo and banner. 3. A bot to update the sidebar - this is something I can do myself, only it will take me sometime to get there.
On the Transformers: The Movie (1986) soundtrack
We don't need reasons!

Exhortations to socialize
Come on, let’s keep this /m/ alive. Monday, but this jam is for next Saturday.
Nina Hagen's boyfriend for a while. I used to make him food a few times when I was cooking at La Rocka on Damrak, Amsterdam.
Germany, this track from Nina's first album in 1978. Amazing voice and freaking good band.
Both songs have the word "alone" in the title. The former has "alone" written in English; this song has it written in German ("Allein") and Danish ("Alene").
Cindy Lee - Diamond Jubille → Cindy https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Cindy#Etymology >In the 20th century adopted as a pet form of Cynthia. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Cynthia#Alternative_forms (my bold) >Cinthia, Cinthya, Cintia, Cintya, Cynthea, Cyntheia, Cynthya, Sinthia, **Sintia**, Synthea, Synthia, Syntia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cindy_(given_name) Also both are Canadian, and both songs were released in the 2020s.
Diamonds. Both albums are real gems too
"Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile..."
Autolux - Turnstile Blues → turnstiles, and the Be Good Tanyas song is bluesy.
[Greg Edwards](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Edwards_(musician)) is a member in both bands

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere is the second studio album by Canadian-American musician Neil Young, released in May 1969 on Reprise Records. The album is Young's first with longtime collaborators Crazy Horse
This is a cover of the first song on the album, This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, which is where (MM) Ohio comes from.
Same title, slightly different vibes.
Both are from Baltimore and one of the members of animal collective goes by Deakin
Fishbone -> Bonefish
I don't know if Freddy was a poet, but he is dead.
Perhaps a little too on the nose, but Hemingway is a dead poet.
Porkbellies are from pigs.
Both songs have pig in the title
Both bands have umlauts in their names, solely for stylistic reasons
Rollins Band - Liar → "I am the emperor of lies, you grovel at my feet." ... "and all my promises are lies, all my love is hate."
At one point Rollins being Ian MacKaye's roadie, really long time friends though. Rollins bsnd became known in the Netherlands for this song.
"Penny Lane is in my ears and **in my eyes**"
Penny and also 'the' in band names.
Similar band name and recalling song title
Butthole Surfers - *The One I Love* covers R.E.M. This is a parody of R.E.M. in a song.
connection: Dedicated to Those I Loved
Beatles → Bitles [wp:Jovem Guarda](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jovem_Guarda) >The name The Brazilian Bitles is a parody of the Beatles,
Beatles Apple music label, and Mod needs help
"Silver" in the song title ➙ "Silver" in the band name.
"Hawkmoth" and "Hawkwind" both have "Hawk" in their name/title.
More Warp. The Digging Remedy is one of my favorite albums from Plaid with tracks like Clock and Do Matter, this track is from their album, Reachy Prints.
Warp Records labelmates with Aphex Twin (and have collaborated with Tobacco too, as it happens)
The story goes that the "Twin" in the Aphex Twin stage name refers to an older sibling of Richard D. James' who died as an infant (or was stillborn), and his parents reused the name Richard when he came around. The photo on the cover of the _Girl/Boy_ EP is allegedly the grave where this sibling is buried.
