Quite old pic, my flatmates cat always wanted to sleep on my high bed. Absolute cutie.
My cats a senior cat who's always seemed to take issue with other cats, particularly in his house. However, I've found out recently that there's another neighbourhood cat that's been snooping around and stealing his leftover food that he hasn't finished. I was sitting around on my off day with my cat on the other side of the room when this Siamese cat saunters and makes eye contact with him. I get up assuming this cat is about to antagonise my cat and the Siamese just bolts. I go after it to see that it leaves and once it scarpers out the window I go back downstairs to my cat who hasn't even moved lol. All of a sudden I feel like maybe ive just chased off one of his mates and feel just a little bad over it lol but I'm really not sure what to think now. My cat is quite elderly so some part of me thinks he's just intimidated and no longer bothered with defending his territory but then neither of then seemed that bothered by the interaction at the time. My cat hasn't had any injuries from this cat but I still can't be sure they're not fighting. Just kind of at a loss at this point lol. Any advice? Cheers!  My cat BTW! Haven't got a PIC of the Siamese yet. First time I saw him today! 
While she treats her dog like her "daughter" and showers it with attention, it seems that the same level of care is not extended to the cat. As someone who has never owned a cat, I believe that providing a cat tree to prevent the cat from damaging furniture, along with some toys and daily access to fresh water, would significantly improve the cat's quality of life. Additionally, since the cat enjoys exploring the forest, having a safe space to play and roam is essential. Today, with temperatures soaring to 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit), she told the cat, "You won’t have wet food; we have to limit it because supplies run out too quickly." At the same time, she did not provide any water. When I inquired about this, she mentioned that the cat could drink from the dog's bowl if it wanted. I expressed my concern that sharing a water bowl could expose the cat to different bacteria and microflora, but this upset her. When I pointed out that not providing water could be considered a form of neglect, she responded that she didn’t want to hear it in her house. On another occasion, she became frustrated when the cat refused to eat the wet food she offered. In response, she told the cat, as if it could understand, "Now you won’t have any wet food; the bowl will be empty. You have dry food, so eat that." She even instructed us not to give the cat any wet food as a form of punishment. I am currently confined to the house for the next month due to an injury, and she is my stepmother. Her decision to adopt a cat seems to stem from a desire to alleviate her dog’s loneliness, which is understandable. However, I question whether simply providing food and allowing the cat to explore the forest for a couple of hours is sufficient for its well-being.

Hi. I’ve been afraid of all non-human life since before I could remember. I got past it, mostly, but I’ve never gotten over the fact that animals can’t speak what they mean. I know that sounds stupid, but fear is irrational and I accept my own. Anyways, my girlfriends sister has 5 cats that she’s looking to adopt away. I’ve thought recently how nice it would be to have a cat, but I’m scared. I lost my job recently. I’m scared to adopt a cat we can’t take care of. My girlfriends scared I won’t be able to make money to survive. Hell, I’m scared about that too. I’ve been going to therapy for half a year now, and I’ve had a LOT of self discovery along the way. I think I’m different from the afraid-of-cats-and-all-animals-including-fish-and-hamsters?!?! That I am. Can you please teach me how cats think? I really want to get a cat, but I didn’t before I got drunk, and I am fishing for support in getting over my fear. I will most likely not end up getting a cat. Can you please teach me facts about how cats work anyways? They don’t have to be general, even just your owns. I’ve seen many cat videos, I get the gist. Kinda. They land so quick and I’m fine getting scratched, but I guess… just not dominated by an animal I can’t understand?! I don’t know. Cat facts please? No pressure. Thank you for writing and/or reading, I love you for either.
I have a 5 year old cat that I adopted 3 years ago, and I'd like to get him a companion but I'm struggling to identify the characteristics I should look for. Can anyone offer advice? He's a rugged old soul. He loves playing with my 2 year old dog but otherwise just lounges around nearby but not touching - typical Russian Blue. He does try to clean and cuddle the dog, but the pup doesn't understand and runs away. He was actively cuddling with other cats at the shelter when I adopted him so I think he'll do well with a housemate. I've met a few shelter cats this week but I'm stressing about identifying which would be a good fit. Are male and female both a good bet? Would it be best to get a kitten, an older cat, or somewhere in between? Playful or extremely lazy, or a lap cat? I know I'll be happy with any choice, so I'm mostly focused on finding a good match for my Russian Blue. Thanks.
For some reason I was under the impression that I was tethered to my vet when it came to getting my cat's thyroid medicine, but today I just asked them if I could have a copy of the prescription so I could order it online and they gave it to me. Just wondering what's a reliable and affordable site for their medicine.
Been her favorite spot since she was a kitten. For a while I thought she’d outgrow it, nope.
