They were all so purdy that I couldn't help myself. Surprisingly affordable too, even the bigger ones, which is always nice.
I posted about my grafted bois before [here](https://sh.itjust.works/post/21199811) (I wish there was a way to share instance-agnostic links, maybe some day...), but I have an update - one of them decided recently that having another cactus forcibly implanted on top of it is not nearly enough, and he started sprouting all over the place! What a little overachiever, eh?

I haven't even had it for two months and it does this.
Bought it 2019, flowering now for the first time. No idea what variety it is. Each flower is open only 1 or 2 nights. There were seven flowers in total.

I'm looking for good information on how to care for them and identify them as they weren't labelled. I guess that it's not as simple a giving them very little water? If anyone knows a good website or book, I'd be grateful. Edit: Typo

The original graft started puping at the end of last August and are now at about 10” & 8” respectively.
These were the first cacti my wife and I grafted ourselves at a workshop last year in August. Both took, and are growing FAST - love how healthy they are! It was very hot, very crowded and yet still worth it - finally got not just one, but both known species of Aztekium without going bankrupt - I wanted one for a long while, but they tend to be stupid expensive in Japan. Love the two cute jellybeans too - Conophytum burgeri. I got this one from cactus affinity couple years back and it has been doing really well. I had to chop it a little over two months ago because it was getting too big & needed a repotting. It finally pupped last week and is great
Sown last feb (15th). 4 varieties (clockwise starting in top right quadrant): Huizache, Cardona, Coloradas, and Texania.

Top: pollinated. Bottom, not. You can tell by color and how plump the top one is behind the flower. Also, unpollinated flowers will fall off. I’m not a botanist so I can’t tell you what the parts of the flower are called. I read that this cactus was not self-fertile but brushing the flowers together has produced fruit. It doesn’t mean the seed is viable but I will try down the line.
Grown from my own seeds, the only kohyo nudum in a tray full of onzuka, kikko, quadricostatum and not many nudum.

These were the exhibition pieces, not for sale. Some impressive specimens there, in some cases I didn't even realize some of these can get so big... The link is to an image gallery - embedding that many photos directly in the post is probably not the best idea. I'll post my haul from the show later, I'm still on the train home :)
I posted a fruit pic a while back and thought I'd share the whole story (so far)... Flowers: 2023-07-20 Fruit: 2023-08-31 ish Seeds: 2023-09-15 Sown: 2023-09-22 Germination: 2023-10-03 ...date of pic. I saw it pop 2 days ago, but didn't get a picture until today.
Just this one segment is like this. The whole rest of the plant, including segments further down the branch are normal.
A lovely Mammillaria parkinsonii on the left, and a super cute Echinofossulocactus on the right, but I'm unsure of the species - maybe some experts here can help? Anyway, love the way they look - lucky finds, both of them!

Found them online, and I'm super happy that they're now mine. Group pic on top, and the bottom row from left to right are a really cute Mammillaria perezdelarosae, a Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus I decided to grow in water after my previous one suddenly and unexpectedly died on me for no discernible reason, and a Pseudolithos migiurtinus that looks like it came from space and I love it :)
