I just finished rewatching Eureka Seven (1-50) again and I forgot just how much I treasure it As emotionally destroyed as I am, please if you have the time, consider watching the best anime that was ever made and let me know how you felt about it and what your thoughts are I can't express in words just how devastated I am knowing that it's over and the hole in my body can't be filled no matter what I do I love Eureka Seven
after all these years, Hatsune Miku is finally becoming an anime character (outside of just being a funny cameo). don't take that statement too seriously, i'm a long time vocaloid fan who's had to explain that she isn't an anime character many times :D

Looking for something along the same vein as Bocchi or Zombie land saga as far as slice of life comedy with great music. Any recommendations?

I paused here, not seeing a way out for the White player at all. After finishing the episode I threw the same position to a chess engine; and there was indeed an exit out of the checkmate.  Reccomended Move: Qg5 I like the detail that this was a really tough move to see, on a pretty open board with not much moves that seem visible. I've been playing chess for years as a hobby and I wouldn't see it in that heat. This move essentially forces a queen trade to be the best move for Black, as any other move could result in White doing massive attacks; and after that with two versus one rook advantage could change the game's tides. I kinda wish they didn't animate away the actual moves; I'd love to see the all the moves that lead to the scene, but still a very cool detail.

Akira Toriyama, the influential Japanese manga artist who created the Dragon Ball series, has died at the age of 68. He died on 1 March from an acute subdural haematoma. The news was confirmed by Bird Studio, the manga company that Toriyama founded in 1983. “It’s our deep regret that he still had several works in the middle of creation with great enthusiasm,” the studio wrote in a statement. “Also, he would have many more things to achieve.”

It's a classic really, there's a reason this gets recommended *every* single *time* anyone asks for romance recs. The way *Lovely Complex* explores insecurity is simply beautiful, the **constant hesitation**, the fear that you might not be enough, and the certainty that begins to come over you as you fail over and over again at achieving your goals. Your fears manifest, a confirmation that *your own body*, that which you were born with and cannot change, is *wrong*. But through all that, the persistence of the characters, the way they persevere through these tribulations, is truly **inspiring**. *The setting is very adolescent*, and this is a love comedy so even the most emotional moments are somewhat **light-hearted**. I think that's good, actually, it keeps the story flowing; the show is *incredibly well-paced*. I said adolescent, because it is set in high school and that's what the characters life revolve around, but the **themes are very mature**. I mentioned the insecurity, which the main theme of the show, but many episodes also touch on what it means to be in love, to be in a committed relationship, and what sacrifices one must make to maintain healthy relationships with those they care for. # It's beautiful. The production quality is top notch, though very much outdated. It's Toei, the animation and music are both great, and the voice acting is fantastic too. Especially Nobu-chan, **Higashi Saori might just be the GOAT**. I'm not even joking, this was an all time performance by her. My favorite ecchi currently, funny and with diverse bodies that are rare in japanese media, I also used some of the yoga instructions to repair my lower back strength.
I was searching for an anime with a similar vibe to Code Geass and DeathNote and came across “Monster”. It seemed good but the art/quality are quite dated. I often struggle with dated quality because, well, I’m just spoiled with the current quality of animes. Is this anime actual similar to the two I mentioned and worth the struggle?

I enjoy some anime more than most other visual media, but I seem to be super picky about what I like and havent figured out what that is well enough to be able to search for new content effectively. Thus, I was hoping to get some recommendations from the community based on what I have enjoyed so far, if possible. My favorite by far is Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and I have also really loved My Hero Academia, Bebop & Champloo, PsychoPass, S-Cry-Ed, Beserk, Inuyasha, and Bleach (to a certain extent, it has some things that are borderline tolerable but always offset it with more badass shit). If anyone has anything that comes to mind from this list, I'd love to hear it! Thanks and happy new year
Tokyo Ghoul, Parasyte style
So, I’m curious if anyone seen this short anime. I’m currently watching it, 3 episodes in and don’t know whether to proceed or to call it quits. I love the worldbuilding, visuals and the fact that she’s a traveler but that’s about it. The fact she does not do much of help when needed kinda bothers me and I originally started his anime to have small cozy magic anime but 2 of the 3 stories are quite something (the plants & slave). What’s your opinion about it? Do you recommend to continue?

I think it's very easy for shows that surround something seemingly inconsequential (such as a high-school club) to severely overplay how much people actually care about these things. **Hibike! Euphonium did this very well** though, from the onset. I guess it's about *managing expectations*, and what the audience can expect from the characters by showing what the characters expect from each other. *I really liked the set up*. **I love how distinct each character is** too. They have unique personalities and interests, though a bit cliché (the big silent guy, the bubbly girl, the cold beauty). The main character though was just something else. *I really, really liked her*! I love how she treats the people around her, it felt very human, **I think this was just excellent writing**. She's cold sometimes and bursting with emotion in the next scene, but it never feels out of place. We really get to explore how she sees the world and what she values in relationships, as well as how much she's willing to sacrifice in her personal life to achieve her goals. I just love Kumiko. **The animation was very good too**. I guess that's to be expected from KyoAni. What I really appreciated, as someone who has played in a band for many years (trumpet), is that they didn't try to make the performances magical. A lot of sports and art anime (Haikyu!!, Blue Lock, Blue Period) depict their subject as sort of nigh-magical, with colours flying everywhere and cool names for special moves. Hibike! Euphonium leans more into realism, it doesn't try to make music seem magical, it just lets the music **be** magical, if that makes sense. I thought it was beautiful; in a way, it's the animation holding back, but it's just really well done. **The music of course was just fantastic**. Don't have much to say on this subject in particular, *it's a music anime, it has great music*. I will say that I loved how much silence there was. Especially before and after an emotional performance, they just let the notes hang, letting the emotion build. Beautiful, I say! The one criticism I have is that it's very short. It's only 13 episodes, and there's too many loose ends. I WANT MORE!!! Well, there is more of course but it's in the next season, which I haven't gotten to **YET**. New interesting antagonist and Eiko being creepy as usual. 
As a cis-dude I feel like this anime wants me to identify with another character but I keep seeing myself in Shizuka. I don't understands why but I kinda like it.

So yeah, og Cutey Honey from the 70s-to-80s-ish has been in my list for a while, and recently I came across its op theme, which I thought was pretty good and got me interested in picking it up later, but I found there are quite a few entries: Shin Cutey Honey: A sequel according to myanimelist, aired around 1994 Cutey Honey F: An alternative version aired in 1997 Re:Cutey Honey: Another alternative version aired in 2004 Cutey Honey Flash Movie: heh Of course for now I want to start with the og series, but I'm interested in picking up each of these entries, so, what order do you suggest me to do so?
